Man Killed When Car Falls On Him Outside Long Island Pep Boys

A man was killed while working on a car outside a Long Island auto shop.

Stephan Edwards was killed when a raised car fell on him at the Pep Boys on Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore on Thursday, Nov. 7.

The incident happened in Bay Shore, at the Pep Boys on Sunrise Highway, sometime overnight Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Suffolk County Police said Stephan Edwards was in the parking lot working on a Kia sedan that was raised on a jack when the vehicle fell on him.

The 30-year-old Edwards, of Margate, Florida, was discovered shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesperson told Daily Voice Edwards was not an employee at the business.
